Jim and Mary Wilcox are a happily married couple. They have the perfect home. A generous pension. (Too much) time on their hands. But most dear of all - their beautiful teenager daughter, Emily. There's just one problem - her boyfriend, Leon, whose quirky career as a fashion designer shatters the parents' expectations. 

After learning of their plans to rent an apartment together, Jim is inspired by his retirement hyper fixation on Halloween to scare the couple out. Together, with Mary, he bugs Emily's room, sabotages their viewing, and stages a fake cult ritual as a last-ditch attempt, before being forced to accept Emily's autonomy.
But all is not what is seems with their estate agent...
